I never painted before in my life and couldn’t even imagine that I would start. The root of my creativity stems from a desire to live a long life free from unhappiness, a life for the Here and Now.

I started to paint on burlap in 2024.  This material was found by me accidentally in a General Store in Pennsylvania next to a coffee roastery homestead. Intuitively, I looked, touched, and smelled the burlap coffee sacks. I said to my sister, my identical twin, that from now on my life will turn for the better. I decided immediately to work on this material. Why? I am able to explain.

This row fabric is my partner in creation. In many instances I just follow what burlap wants. I am preserving print, leaving fabric untouched by paint. Burlap sacks dictating even size of my artworks. One seem sacks giving me bigger size, two seems sacks becoming smaller vertical paintings. I have to craft my own canvases. It is very feminine art process. This fabric is grounding me in a good way, even the touch and feel of the burlap creates calm and reduces anxiety which is very important now days. Burlap coffee sacks are coming from many different countries, which is seen in the printing. It gives a feeling of unity. The paint is penetrating through the fabric. It creates uniquely meditative back side of the painting.

I am like a child who is seeing the world anew and this is so wonderful! I am experiencing a constant state of happiness at the ability to create. There is no fear. I am moving forward with a soul full of light.
